In order to receive information or services from Guernsey Ancestry, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself, (e.g. name, address, email address) Other personal information such as date of birth, family information may also be provided by yourself in order that genealogical research can take place.

Any such information will only be used for research, record keeping and accounting purposes. No information will be passed on to third parties, unless this is at your request (for example sending a research report to a relative.) Information will be retained until such time that you request the information is removed from the records.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that Guernsey Ancestry holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please address requests to the address on this website.

For PayPal payments, your email address will be used by Guernsey Ancestry and PayPal to initiate a payment request. All such PayPal transactions take place in a secure web environment.

We do not engage in marketing activities such as bulk email or newsletter type, all emails received from Guernsey Ancestry will be in direct relation to current enquiries or research that you have requested.

Guernsey Ancestry operates under The Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017.
